I recommend reading Eve as a work of fiction, but with great care. Some of the teachings are disturbing and show disregard of the scriptures.
Furthermore, in a bid to please women readers, Young dangerously minimized Eve’s contribution to the fall by putting all the blame on Adam. Young created a fictional turning away from God, absolving Eve of any guilty. It is sad that the this otherwise good book is based firmly on this warped theology.
Eve: A Novel is an excellent work of fiction, but a misleading work of theology.
